Events (Mixers, Lunches, Riverfest)

The CBCC Events Committee is responsible for the planning and organizing of many of the events held by the Chamber.  Fundraising events are planned to help the Chamber meet their specific needs and goals, while networking events are held to bring local members and businesses together to make valuable business connections.  Some of the events planned this year include; The CBCC Annual Meeting, Member Mixers, Bingo Tent at the Riverfest and a Square and Round Dance.

Education & Outreach

The Education & Outreach Committee is responsible for arranging events available to chamber members to further knowledge on a variety of topics related to our local economy, technology, marketing, and networking. The committee strives to offer a variety of events both in content type and time of day.

Golf Tournament

The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament serves as a multifunctional event.  It is one of the main fundraisers for the chamber as well as a networking opportunity for chamber members.  Additionally a portion of the proceeds each year goes to a Non-Profit Organization that is involved with the United State Military.

Committee Members will help gather sponsors for the event, plan for the various games throughout the day, prepare team registration forms, obtain prizes for presentations, plan beverages and food selections, and assist with the set up the day of the event.

The purpose of the CBCCC Finance Committee includes the following:

  • Prepare an annual budget for approval at the Annual Dinner in March.
  • Authorize the Treasurer to reconcile the bank accounts monthly and to present reconciliation reports.
  • Authorize the Treasurer to prepare monthly Income and Expense Statements.
  • Audit the Treasurer reconciliation reports periodically by reviewing the monthly bank statements.

Hometown Christmas

 

The CBCCC’s Hometown Christmas Event takes place on the first Friday and Saturday in December.  Friday a Tree Lighting is held at Madigan Park followed by The Community Cup hosting a Gingerbread House Workshop for 2 hours.

Saturday starts off early with the annual Run Run Rudolph 5k.  You will experience local vendor shopping from 10am – 4 pm.  There is a special story time with Mrs. Clause and not to forget a free showing of a Holiday movie.  Oh course we can’t leave out the Pony Rides, Live Ice Sculpting, Cupcake Challenges and pictures with Santa after cookie decorating with Hurley’s Supermarket.   The best part of all is the Parade that begins at 5pm that goes right down Main Street!!
